Many of us live extraordinary lives in an nightlife culture most people do not comprehend.  Often misunderstood, the nightclub social scene of San Francisco is one of the largest meccas of dance music in the world.  In particular, deep house music is at its very core.  Contrary to popular belief, the majority of the San Francisco partygoers are post-college graduates between the ages of 25-35 and typically corporate professionals making a very handsome living.  Their attraction to the club scene and house music is an interesting phenomenon that I can only explain from my own personal experience. 

I grew up listening to R&B, classic soul, and old-school hip hop, despite its unpopularity amongst my friends and popular music culture at that time.  I listened to everything from Motown to Grand Master Flash to Run DMC.  It was a time when breakdance music was "underground" and hip hop was at it's grassroots.  My love for dancing began at a very young age.  I even use to go to the "other side of town" just so I could breakdance with the kids over there.  That passion for dance has always lived with me.  I have also been an avid music collector for as long as I can remember.  I used to spend all of my "weekly allowance" on cassettes and records and made countless mix tapes.
